One of the main objectives for the foundation of the National Coalition Digital Preservation has been to bring together professionals of the partner institutions and other organizations in order to set up collaborative projects, focused on concrete results. These results form the building blocks of the NCDD’s primary goal: creating a shared network of facilities to ensure sustained access to digital information in the Netherlands.
All projects revolve around the three main themes:
- Scalable and usable facilities
- Transparent cost structure
- Roles and responsibilities in collection building
The first series of NCDD projects started in 2014. The four projects have been finalized in 2015 and were followed up by eight projects, carried out by the NCDD partners and other institutions as a part of the Dutch Network Digital Heritage.
